- Kerrie Thorne Review added: 2018.05.12★ ★ ★ ★ ★Ok so I have read the reviews ..i am a parent of a child now in year 8, when I applied for secondary school choices I admit I was concerned about her going to Poole HIGH , it did have a dreadful repution and was not viewed highly by Ofted , BUT, the current head, Mr Grey has turned the school around, yes it has strict rules but so it should..im afraid life is not fair..if you get a job you need to turn up everyday on time..not wander in when you please..you will have responsibilities (homework and getting it in on time is yours at present) and as for taking your phone off you ..i am not allowed to use mine in work time .so abide by the rules or yes..you may get a detention..in the real world you may loose your job!!
Anyway I am extremly pleased with the opportunities afforded to my child so far and the support given by the school in any problem my child has encountered. If you 're prepared to work hard and make the most of school life this is the school for you and you will be well rewarded. If you really can't be bothered, I suggest change schools or don't apply.As for Ofstead reports I'm afraid they are a snap shot in time..exam.results (which Poole High has achieved very well in) are the real result of the school ..
